Fri Aug 22 2008If you are an aspiring Footballer please take note of the following -
- These are exciting times on the Gold Coast with the imminent official announcement of Gold Coast United. Gold Coast Football and Gold Coast United will be working very closely to identify the next generation of players. Players will maximize their opportunities by following the recognised FFA/FQ "Player Pathway". In the coming weeks programs will be launched for players from U10 upwards, boys and girls.
CLICK ON "PLAYER PATHWAY" - To sign for an overseas (ie Europe) club you MUST be 18 years old and have access to a Euro passport.
- If you are under 18 years old and go overseas your parents Must go with you - see FIFA Statute, Article 19. CLICK ON FIFA STATUTE, ARTICLE 19.
- Most overseas clubs will not look at you seriously unless you have achieved a high level of recognition in Australia.
- Overseas clubs have available only 4 special access visas which are normally used for top quality Senior players.
There are many private providers in the market place - Just makes sure they all hold the correct insurance policies and qualifications . Some are very good and some not, regardless of this everybody operates under FIFA Statutes - there are no exceptions.
