Craig Foster Futsal Challenge Cup Success
Fri Mar 11 2011This years annual "Craig Fosters Futsal Challenge Cup" event was held last Sunday 6th March 2011 at Caloundra Indoor sports stadium on the Sunshine Coast.
This year saw great success from the Gold Coast Representative teams who have taken out 3 of the 7 Grand Champion positions defeating The Sunshine coast in each of the Grand Finals.
The Gold Coast U/12s , 13s & 14s representative teams which all were plagued with injuries and absences had reduced all 3 teams to just 5 players which meant that they had no substitutes to fall back on.
In a series of nail bitting games, the Gold Coast players displayed both courage and determination as well as incredible endurance to battle thru the round stages to make the finals series.
In front of a packed audience each Gold Coast team dug deep with absolute determination to defeat the Sunshine Coast in each of the Grand Final events.

U/13s- Gold Coast 4- Def- Sunshine Coast 3
U/14s - Gold Coast 7- Def - Sunshine Coast 6 ( extra time )
