This years Summit will include updates on initiatives from the 2008-2009 Summit including the Sports Field Utilisation project, Sports Planning 2009, the results of the Indoor Facilities Strategy, & a progress report on the GCCC Club Handbook.  New topics at this Summit amongst other things will include: Club Sustainability Check-up, Liquor Licensing, Sports Planning 2010, & an update on the SRQ Sports Funding Review.

Two new initiatives will also be included in this years summit:

  • Sports Fusion Information Expo-a series of stalls relevant to clubs providing information  on,  Leasing, Building Improvements, Signage, Grants, Good Sports, Active & Healthy etc.  The Expo will be open through the lunch break and staffed by subject experts from GCCC and other organisations.

  • Sports Fusion Challenge Cup-a 9 hole golf friendly between sports with the winning sport taking home the Sports Fusion Challenge Cup trophy.  The Challenge Cup will be open to all summit participants and held straight after the event (Approx 3.30pm - 5.30pm) Included will be golf with motorized cart, prizes, gourmet BBQ + drinks.  Cost $30.  Please note:  Everyone (even if your are not the worlds best golfer) is encouraged to participate in this event.  It’s main aim is to encourage an active & healthy lifestyle and very importantly provide an opportunity for those who participate to network, collaborate and build partnerships across sport.
